It’s been awhile, I realize that. A lot has happened in my life since my last post (wow, 2 years ago??). I’ve graduated college, started my first real job, moved out of my parent’s house, and even made the impulsive decision to adopt a dog…. and then find a new home for him. I’ve come to the point though where I am understanding the importance of enjoying life in the moment. Too often I find myself trying to plan every little detail of my future (near and far) and it does not make me happy. I miss the days in high school when all I looked forward to was what party was happening that weekend. Now I’m stressing about where my life will be next year! Is this how adulting works? I don’t think I can keep this up for the rest of my life….. when’s retirement?

A successful semester, I'd say

Today in my visual merchandising class my group was ecstatic to find out our class had voted our two window displays as “Best Use of Texture” for the Urban Outfitters window and “Best Overall Window Display” for the Nordstrom window!! I actually feel like I am doing something right, I can’t wait to take this skill into the real world!

This Easter I was in Florence, Italy and I can’t even explain how different the service was from my home church in Chicago. I cannot wait to get home and actually celebrate with my Greeks! XRISTOS ANESTI!!

this is me

I don't know what I'm doing....

Well hey der!! I’m Catherine, and this is my first time with a blog so don’t judge. I’m from a suburb of Chicago and I loveeee the city!! Sometimes I love it a little too much to the point where I become narrow minded and hate everything that’s not Chicago…. (Iowans can get real annoying real fast.) Anyway, I’m pretty fashion forward, and almost obsessive actually, and I cry over a sweet deal (bargain hunting — I got it from my momma). I’m Greek (if you couldn’t tell) and I love talking about Greek things with Greek people and such. I can barely speak Greek though, which becomes a problem when trying to understand what yiayia’s saying, but I try my best and learn at any point possible. Oh ya, I love learning! Sounds lame but I really do love learning about history, outer space, weather, my family, anything.
